NFT stands for Non Fungible Token. An NFT is an asset whose ownership is recorded on a blockchain. An NFT could be a picture or a song, but can give digital life to anything around you. It could be a domain name, an access key, a ticket or a plot of virtual land. The purchase of the asset that is traded is logged on the blockchain, the digital log of all crypto purchases.
This means that a purchase of an NFT is traceable, verifiable and transparent. In summary, an NFT is the sale of a digital picture, song clip or video, coupled with a digital signature of the sale on the blockchain.
